After finally posting his first US Tour win since 2007, Jim Furyk is a best 33/1 to win The Masters at Augusta next month.

Furyk chalked up his 14th PGA Tour win with victory at the Transitions Championship in Florida and will be now be hoping to add to his sole Major - the 2003 US Open at at Olympia Fields.

His record at Augusta is consistent without really suggesting he'll be wearing the Green Jacket on April 11.

Furyk has only missed the cut once in 13 starts in The Masters, with fourth places in 1998 and 2003 his best finishes, while he added a third top 10 last year (T10th).

The American is also a 33/1 chance to win the Open Championship at St Andrews this summer.

Furyk has racked up four top five finishes in The Open (1997, 1998, 2006 and 2008) but hasn't fared well at St Andrews. He was 41st at the Old Course in 2000 and missed the cut in 2005.

The world number six's best chance of a Major is likely to come in the US Open - not only did he win it in 2003, he was runner-up in both 2006 and 2007 - although no odds are available yet.

As for his record at this year's venue, Pebble Beach? He was only 60th in the 2000 US Open held there, shooting 84-75 on the weekend. But he has managed four top sixes in the regular PGA Tour event at Pebble, the most recent in 2007.

No prices have have been chalked up either for the year's final Major - the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. Furyk missed the cut there when it hosted the 2005 USPGA, carding 75-78.

The evidence is limited but whereas this year's Major venues appear to play into the hands of some players (Tiger Woods, Ernie Els), they don't look ideal for Furyk.
