Get rid of those 'fat' shots

If you find you are hitting too many 'fat' shots (hitting the turf behind the ball) you might do yourself a lot of good if you take a look at your weight transfer during your swing.

Make sure that you shift your weight to your back foot when you swing back and then push off the back foot and transfer your weight to your front foot as you swing through.

This will eliminate swings that are made primarily with your hands and arms and are the major cause of 'fat' shots.
