FootJoy, golf's top selling Shoe and Glove brand, has continued its outstanding 100% winning record on the European Tour in 2012.

The Dubai Desert Classic title was clinched in stylish fashion on Sunday evening by FootJoy brand ambassador Rafael Cabrera-Bello, sporting the brand new FJ Performance Apparel Collection.

The 27 year old fired a bogey-free 68 to seal a narrow one-shot victory over fellow FootJoy loyalist and World #3 Lee Westwood, to secure the second European Tour title of his career.

Cabrera-Bello and Westwood were in good company as five of the top eight player who wore trusted FootJoy shoes and gloves this week at The Emirates Golf Club.

Cabrera-Bello's victory saw the first ever win on the European Tour by a wearer of the new 2012 FJ Performance Apparel Collection.

The young Spaniard also put his trust in the FJ ICON¿, FootJoy's latest flagship shoe, as well as the FJ RainGrip¿ Glove.

FootJoy was prominent across all four days in Dubai. At least 57% of the field wore FootJoy shoes compared to the 17% of its the nearest competitor.

"We are delighted for Rafa, recording his second European Tour victory, but it was even more pleasing that he did so wearing the brand new FJ Performance Apparel Collection.

"The new collection is due to hit the shelves very soon in the UK and Ireland and it is great to have a high profile winner performing so well and showcasing the range in such a prestigious event," Russell Lawes, European Marketing Manager of FootJoy said in a statement this week..

The new FJ Performance Apparel Collection features an array of essential garments that can be worn both on and off-course.

The range is spearheaded by four stylish and modern colour stories entitled; Cape Collection (Navy/Ocean/Yellow/White), Savannah Collection (Black/Red/White), Valley Collection (Purple/Charcoal/Grey/White) and Shore Collection (Navy/Coral/Khaki/White).

These modern colour palettes perfectly complement the garment designs and allow golfers to effortlessly coordinate their outfits throughout the range. The addition of an Athletic fit option within the collection ensures that those seeking a more tailored look are spoilt for choice
