Callaway Golf continues to push performance and technology boundaries to new levels with the launch of FT-iZ, which the company describe as their "most advanced and exciting Driver launch ever, allowing ever golfer the opportunity to crush it long off the tee, split more fairways and leave the competition behind."

Sporting a new head shape to appeal to a wide range of golfers, the FT-iZ has less cumulative drag than the FT-iQ, making it Callaway's most efficient high inertia Driver ever, generating increased head speeds and greater ball speed for longer tee shots.

Neil Howie, President of Callaway Golf Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "Callaway's rich history is borne out of launching drivers which make the game easier and more enjoyable for a wide range of golfers.

"The new FT-iZ perfectly marries state-of-the-art technology with maximum playability to give all standards of golfer the chance the experience the benefits of this very exciting product."

Key Performance Features

Fusion Technology

Multiple materials achieve the optimal combination of performance and feel with stunning looks. A woven carbon-fibre body is sandwiched in-between an aerospace-grade titanium face and a high density alloy rear weight.

Polar Weighting

A heavy face and heavy central 'power source' rear weight localises weight at the front and back of the driver, creating unprecedented stability and shot consistency. 74% of the club's overall head weight is at the face and rear of the head creating high levels of twist resistance (MOI), promoting straighter, more forgiving shots. Polar Weighting Technology also allows for a precise and low Centre of Gravity location giving a perfect mix of ball speed and spin control for consistently long ball trajectories.

Chemically Milled Hyperbolic Face

New acid reduction process selectively removes unwanted material from the internal side of the club face allowing for precision thickness control across the surface for consistently high ball speeds, even on off centre hits.

Aerodynamic Body

Race-car inspired aerodynamics ensure the club head cuts through the air more efficiently with reduced airflow separation, compared to the Callaway FT-iQ, promoting faster head speeds and increased ball speed for greater distance.

Tour Usage

The FT-iZ Driver has already caused a stir on Tour. Callaway Staff Professionals that have already put the driver in play since its introduction on the European Tour include three-time Major winner Ernie Els, Niclas Fasth, Nick Dougherty, Thongchai Jaidee and Thomas Björn.

Specifications:

Stock shaft flex options are light, regular and stiff.

The FT-iZ Driver will launch March 1st with suggested retail prices in the UK of £349 for both the FT-iZ and FT-iZ Tour.
