Practicality meets panache in the new luxury golf shoe range from Royal Albartross. The collection, from award-winning designer Alex Bartholomew, is a combination of cutting-edge style and old-fashioned comfort - plus a little something different.
Distinctive in their bold design and exquisite finishing, leather-soled Royal Albartross golf shoes are being heralded among the most comfortable on the market. "Fantastic shoes, extremely comfortable and stable" - Jodie Kidd. "What a brilliant classic golf shoe with a contemporary twist" - Dougray Scott.
The range is characterised by elegant lines and strong structure; and successfully combines the best of British design with fine Italian craftsmanship. They also introduce a first in golf shoe design, the signature Royal Albartross magnetic golf ball marker.
"We were looking to create a shoe that was funky and different but which would still exceed the standards of the most discerning golfer. Every element of the shoe had to be practical but at the same time sexy and luxurious, and the golf ball marker is of course distinctly Royal Albartross," says Alex Bartholomew, creator of the range.
Black Jack, Patchinko and Honest John - each pair is individually named and carries the characteristics of its namesake. You might choose Riskio Tutto - leather-soled brogues that divulge how much of a class act you are on the tee box; or Honest John - the pair that honours the foundations of this great game.
The quality and durability of the shoes stems from their traditional construction, with each shoe meticulously handcrafted in Italy. The finest waterproof leathers and breathable linings combine with a fast-cleat changing system that allow the wearer to experience both modern technology and established craftsmanship.
"They're the best golf shoes I've ever seen" - Richard Bacon
The shoes retail from £299 and are available from www.albartross.com.
